White Hart Clinic

White Hart Clinic is a multidisciplinary clinic in Barnes, south-west London, operating for over 27 years. It provides MSK physiotherapy, osteopathy, women’s pelvic health physiotherapy, massage therapy, acupuncture, podiatry and chiropody, counselling and psychotherapy, with dietetics and a weekly menopause care clinic available under the same roof. Patients do not need a GP referral for appointments.

MSK care covers musculoskeletal conditions affecting muscles, bones, tendons and joints. The physiotherapy team’s clinical areas include injury diagnosis and management, rehabilitation, injury prevention, sports medicine, safe return-to-sport planning and general musculoskeletal conditions. The clinic also offers diagnostic ultrasound and ultrasound-guided injection therapy through a sonographer and musculoskeletal clinician.

Women’s pelvic health is a central service at the clinic. The pelvic health physiotherapy team treats and advises on prolapse, bladder and bowel continence issues, sexual dysfunction and pelvic pain. Specific women’s health appointments include a Pregnancy MOT from the 12 week scan onwards, a Postnatal MOT for tummy and pelvic floor function after childbirth, and a Menopause MOT covering pelvic health, exercise and movement during peri-menopause and menopause.

Further women’s health work includes pessary fitting for pelvic organ prolapse and stress incontinence, care for urinary or bowel control problems after delivery, and support for bladder or bowel incontinence or organ prolapse that develops later. The team’s stated clinical areas also include pregnancy, post-partum recovery, oncology rehabilitation, functional ultrasound imaging of the pelvic floor muscles and menopause.

Menopause care is provided in collaboration with Menopause Care Ltd, founded by Dr Naomi Potter, using Body Identical hormone therapy. The clinic describes this service as considering health issues and each woman’s preferences around treatment.

Other services at the clinic include osteopathy, acupuncture, massage, podiatry and chiropody, counselling and psychotherapy, and dietetics. Care is provided by clinicians working under one roof, with therapists able to refer patients to colleagues within the clinic where another discipline is relevant.
