Karine Flynn

Karine Flynn works from two locations: online and in Cockermouth. The service provides somatic therapy for emotional overwhelm, emotional regulation and emotional release work.

The care includes a brief somatic intervention for emotional overwhelm and a Somatic Release Intensive. The work uses body-based techniques rather than talk alone, including interoception, breath work, gentle touch or pressure points, movement, vocalisation and working with physical sensation.

The Somatic Release Intensive combines Neo Emotional Release, Integral Somatic Psychology and Internal Family Systems. It includes preparation, emotional release work and integration. Optional ongoing support is also referenced.

The Foundation & Pattern Mapping session is the first stage of the intensive. Before this session, clients complete an in-depth questionnaire covering family history and patterns. The session maps patterns, works on nervous system safety and considers whether the intensive is appropriate.
