Anna Joseph Acupuncture

Anna Joseph is a medical acupuncturist and oncology nurse in Hove. She provides evidence-based medical acupuncture for cancer support, menopause support and general wellbeing, with care designed to work alongside existing care or treatment plans.

Cancer support covers people living with or beyond cancer. Treatment areas include hot flushes and night sweats, chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy, nausea and digestive issues, fatigue and low energy, dry mouth, breathlessness, pain and inflammation, anxiety and emotional distress, and post-surgical pain.

Menopause support covers hot flushes and night sweats, sleep disturbance, mood swings and anxiety, fatigue, and body aches and pains. General wellbeing appointments cover chronic or musculoskeletal pain, including back, shoulder, neck and osteoarthritic knee or hip pain, as well as migraines, tension headaches, insomnia, disrupted sleep, anxiety and stress.

Bookable care includes a first appointment for new clients, follow-up treatment, a four-treatment package and a Hot Flush Package. At a first appointment, Anna takes a medical history and discusses priorities for treatment before acupuncture with fine needles at selected points. Follow-up treatment is used to review symptoms and adjust the treatment plan.

Anna has more than 20 years' NHS experience in oncology, chemotherapy and palliative care, and has practised evidence-based medical acupuncture for 8 years. She trained with the British Medical Acupuncture Society, is a member of the British Medical Acupuncture Society, and is regulated by the Nursing and Midwifery Council. She also holds combined professional, public and products liability insurance.
