Wessex House Dental Practice

Wessex House Dental Practice provides dental examinations and diagnosis, including X-rays, advice on preventing future dental problems, scale and polish treatment, fluoride varnish and fissure sealants where clinically appropriate. The practice is in Sherborne and provides both NHS and private dental care, although it is not currently taking on new NHS patients.

Its named dental services include general dentistry, crowns, bridges, veneers, dental implants, tooth whitening, composite bonding, clear aligners, facial aesthetics and oral surgery. NHS treatment can include fillings, root canal work, extractions, crowns, dentures and bridges, depending on the band of care needed.

Patients are given a treatment plan or estimate after a plan has been agreed. If X-ray or clinical findings mean that the plan needs to change, this is discussed before treatment continues. Some dental and medical treatments require written consent, with risks, aftercare and treatment details covered before treatment is carried out.

The practice keeps clinical notes, radiographs, photographs and 3D scans as part of patient records. Copies of notes, radiographs and CBCT scans can be requested in writing, and the practice has ICO registration.
