Bawtry Osteopaths

Bawtry Osteopaths is based in Doncaster and has one site. The practice provides osteopathy for musculoskeletal problems including back pain, sciatica, frozen shoulder, joint pain, arthritic pain, sports injuries, muscle tension, fibromyalgia, rheumatic pain, neuralgia, headaches arising from the neck and migraine prevention.

Care is provided by Charlotte, who graduated from Leeds Metropolitan University in 2012 with a Masters degree in Osteopathy. She is registered with the General Osteopathic Council and is a member of the Institute of Osteopathy. Her approach is structural, with a particular interest in sporting injuries, acute injuries and chronic injuries. She treats people of all ages, and patients under 16 are asked to attend with a parent or guardian.

Osteopathic treatment at the practice may include touch, physical manipulation, stretching and massage. The practice may also give advice on posture and exercise. Charlotte has completed Fundamental and Advanced training in Kinesio Taping.

At your first appointment, the osteopath takes a detailed case history, including your general health, medical history and any medication you use. The assessment includes an examination of the problem area and may involve simple movements and stretches to look at posture and mobility. Blood pressure reading and neurological testing may be carried out if needed. You are then given an explanation of the diagnosis and proposed treatment.

You do not need to see your GP before booking, although some insurance companies may require this. The practice asks for your GP details for its records and says it will not contact your GP without your consent. Evening appointments may be available, and parking is available in Pinders Courtyard.
