Check My Hearing is for adults seeking private audiology care, hearing consultation, hearing tests, microsuction ear wax removal and hearing aid support. The practice provides adult microsuction for one ear or both ears, adult hearing consultation, pure tone audiometry with explanation of the results, and hearing aid assessment, fitting, adjustment and aftercare.

The practice is clinician-led, and its clinician is an HCPC registered Hearing Aid Dispenser with NHS and private hearing care experience. Its hearing aid work includes hearing packages, hearing aid trials, ongoing fine-tuning, support for patients who have bought hearing aids elsewhere, and devices from Starkey, Signia, GN Resound, Oticon, Phonak, Widex, Unitron and Bernafon.

Ear wax removal is carried out using microsuction, a dry technique performed under direct visualisation. Appointments include examination of the ear canal and eardrum, controlled removal using suction, and advice on aftercare and prevention. Where wax is very deep or impacted, the practice may advise softening with olive oil before completion at a follow-up appointment.

Check My Hearing also provides custom-moulded noise protection for people such as musicians, frequent travellers and those working in noisy environments. Home visits are available across Suffolk for hearing tests, including for people who prefer a familiar setting or have mobility difficulties.

The practice provides care in Bury St Edmunds and Sudbury. At the Bury St Edmunds clinic, appointments take place on the first floor with lift access.
