Chiropractic Plus

Chiropractic Plus is a chiropractic clinic in Dunblane. Cathy Mee provides assessment, diagnosis, treatment and management of musculoskeletal conditions linked to mechanical dysfunction of the joints and muscles of the neck, back and limbs.

Care includes chiropractic manipulation, spinal adjustment, joint mobilisation, soft-tissue techniques, biomechanical assessment, remedial massage, dry cupping, instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilisation, medical acupuncture, sports taping and shockwave therapy. Clinical sports massage and soft tissue therapy is available for persistent muscle tightness or restriction, tendon issues, reduced mobility or performance limitations, and sports or gym-related injuries.

The clinic offers chiropractic care for new patients and registered patients, maintenance care for registered patients, clinical sports massage and soft tissue therapy, and shockwave therapy. The maintenance option combines chiropractic care and massage, and is for people who have already had a chiropractic consultation.

Cathy Mee holds a Master of Chiropractic and a BSc(Hons) in Microbiology. She graduated from the Anglo-European College of Chiropractic and previously worked in the NHS as an accredited Clinical Vascular Scientist with a vascular surgical team. She can perform in-house vascular Doppler assessment for preliminary diagnosis of peripheral vascular disease.

Her qualifications and registrations include General Chiropractic Council registration, membership of the British Chiropractic Association, certificates in Western Medical Acupuncture and electroacupuncture, FAKTR provider status, clinical vascular sonographer training, certificates in Dynamic taping and kinesiotaping, and shockwave therapy provider training. She has also worked as a lecturer and clinical tutor at AECC University College, training undergraduate and clinical-year students in chiropractic and sports therapy.

A GP referral is not required to see a chiropractor at Chiropractic Plus. Cathy Mee states that patients with conditions outside her scope of practice will be directed to their General Practitioner.
