Ms Amira Begum

Ms Amira Begum works with people recovering from injury or surgery, and those managing chronic musculoskeletal conditions. Her musculoskeletal physiotherapy practice uses assessment, diagnosis and rehabilitation, with evidence-based manual therapy, individualised rehabilitation programmes, personalised exercise and technology-assisted therapies as part of a multimodal approach.

She uses a biopsychosocial model, taking account of biological, psychological and social factors that may influence physical symptoms. Her further training includes radial pressure wave therapy for musculoskeletal disorders, advanced manual therapy, spinal and sacroiliac joint diagnosis, cancer rehabilitation with an emphasis on breast cancer rehabilitation, musculoskeletal red flags and soft tissue injuries.

Amira is Lead Physiotherapist at Denovo Physio and Rehab, with a BPT and an MSc in Specialist Physiotherapy Practice from Sheffield Hallam University. She is HCPC registered and a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy.
