Dr Catherine Hukins

Dr Catherine Hukins helps patients with peri-menopause and menopause symptoms at Dorset Private GP in Bournemouth, with consultations available face to face or by video. She can discuss possible treatments, including Hormone replacement therapy medication, and can prescribe Androfeme, a testosterone medication currently not available on the NHS.

She holds the Advanced Certificate in the Principles and Practice of Menopause Care from the British Menopause Society, is part of the British Menopause Society, has training from Newson Health specialists in menopausal care, and is Confidence in the Menopause accredited and Post Reproductive Medicine accredited by the RCOG. She also holds the DRCOG qualification.

Catherine has been an NHS GP in Dorset for 22 years and previously worked as a peri-menopause and menopause specialist with Newson Health for more than 2 1/2 years. Her approach includes providing information about options and supporting women to make individualised decisions.
