Dr Gwen Adey treats hair loss, alopecia and scalp-related concerns through Growth Factor Hair Clinic. Her work covers androgenetic alopecia, telogen effluvium, early-stage alopecia areata and early-stage frontal fibrosing alopecia. Care can also include psychological therapy for alopecia totalis, alopecia universalis, lichen planopilaris and persistent chemotherapy-induced alopecia.

Assessment can include consultation, trichoscopy, blood tests and TrichoTest DNA testing. Treatment options include PRP hair treatment, mesotherapy, low level laser therapy and DNA-guided topical hair loss medicines through partners or referrals. The clinic also offers nutritional support, psychological support, alopecia services and sweating under wigs treatment.

Dr Adey also provides aesthetic and skin services. These include microneedling, polynucleotides, PRP facial treatment, Botox, hyaluronic acid lip treatment and filler dissolving. She also offers Botox for face or head sweat reduction and scalp sweat treatment.

Dr Adey graduated as a dental surgeon from King's College London in 2005. She completed Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh examinations in 2008. Her previous roles include Senior House Officer, Clinical Research Fellow, general dental practitioner and aesthetic medicine practitioner. She has studied trichology and trichoscopy for several years. She has been a member of the International Society of Trichoscopy since 2022. She is also a trained, certified phlebotomist.
