East Riding Private Medical Services provides private GP care in Hull and Barrow upon Humber. Book through this page.

Appointments are available online or face to face. Some problems may need a face to face consultation. Private GP appointments can cover assessment, advice, prescriptions and private hospital referral where required. The practice cannot initiate NHS referrals.

Its GP service does not provide 24 hour emergency cover. It does not prescribe controlled drugs. It does not provide ongoing monitoring for chronic conditions already monitored by an NHS GP. Repeat prescriptions are only considered when the practice initiated treatment, or in exceptional circumstances.

The practice also provides Insurance Medicals, HGV medicals, taxi medicals and safety critical medicals. It also offers asbestos medicals, OEUK offshore medicals, motorsport medicals and Chester Step Tests. HGV and taxi medicals can be arranged during evenings or weekends if preferred.

Safety critical medicals are for workers in safety critical roles. Stated roles include asbestos workers, construction workers, plant operators, scaffolders, riggers, electricians, divers and LGV or HGV drivers. Other examples include roadside workers, confined space workers, maritime operatives, night shift workers and people working at height. These medicals are performed by a doctor with a qualification in Occupational Health.

Asbestos medicals include an employment and medical history questionnaire, including smoking history. They include a focused heart and lung examination and spirometry. Home visits are available within the practice's local visit radius, during working hours Monday to Saturday. If a home visit is not possible, patients are triaged and signposted to another service.
