Lisa provides private physiotherapy in Buckingham, covering musculoskeletal physiotherapy, sports physiotherapy, shoulder physio, back physio, women’s and pelvic health, post-natal physiotherapy and post-operative rehabilitation. Treatment starts with an assessment, followed by a treatment plan that may include exercises, manual therapy, strapping and advice.

The musculoskeletal service treats all MSK conditions, with examples including back pain, neck pain, shoulder injuries, knee injuries and other joint problems. The practice can refer patients to orthopaedic specialists and for scans or X-rays where more specialist diagnosis or treatment is needed.

Sports physiotherapy covers sports-related injuries and sports-specific rehabilitation. Lisa has an MSc in Sports Medicine from the University of Nottingham, gained in 2003, and her stated clinical areas include back and neck pain, joint conditions, sports injuries, women’s health physiotherapy and post-operative orthopaedic conditions.

Women’s health physiotherapy focuses on pelvic floor muscle dysfunction and pelvic health. Conditions treated include urinary and bowel incontinence, prolapse, pelvic pain, bladder issues, pregnancy-related pelvic girdle or back pain, post-natal care and post-operative rehabilitation. Lisa also works part-time within the NHS as a specialist women’s health physiotherapist and is an active member of a specialist team at Milton Keynes University Hospital.

Pre- and post-surgery physiotherapy is available for people who have had total hip replacement, total or partial knee replacement, knee surgery, shoulder surgery, spinal surgery and gynaecological surgery. Domiciliary and home physiotherapy are also offered, and flexible and out-of-hours appointments are available.

Lisa graduated with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy degree from the University of Pretoria in 1997. She is registered with the Health and Care Professions Council and is a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy, POGP, the Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists and Physiofirst.
