Elmia sports massage therapy

Elmia sports massage therapy treats sports-related injuries, work-related aches, day-to-day aches and musculoskeletal pain in Lichfield.

Sports massage is used for tight muscles, inactive muscles and soft tissue work. Richard first discusses health and lifestyle. He may carry out a visual spinal alignment check and palpate troublesome areas.

Cupping is offered as a form of deep tissue work using suction cups. The cups may be fixed or moved across the area being treated. Cupping can cause bruising.

Dry needling (acupuncture) is available for musculoskeletal concerns. It uses very fine needles around the painful area and at distal points. This includes muscle knots and joint pain, including arthritis.

Richard set up Elmia in 2022. He has a sporting background in running, obstacle course races, ultra marathons, martial arts and coast-to-coast cycling. He is also a certified PT, and can offer training advice if needed. He is fully insured and DBS checked.
