Every Step Podiatry

New patient appointments at Every Step Podiatry are for clinical foot care assessment and treatment planning, with the practice providing podiatry care in Broxburn and the wider West Lothian area. Care is provided by Colette, who graduated from Glasgow Caledonian University in 2002 and has 22 years' experience in podiatry across the NHS and private sector.

Routine podiatry covers foot assessment, toenail trimming, care for ingrown toenails, corns, calluses and skin abnormalities, plus advice on foot care, footwear, exercises and follow-up where needed. Routine footcare appointments are also available for existing patients.

Verruca care is offered for plantar warts on the sole of the foot. Treatment options named by the practice include topical treatments containing salicylic acid and cryotherapy using liquid nitrogen, with follow-up appointments used where further treatment is needed.

Every Step Podiatry also provides diabetic footcare and diabetic assessment. This can include review of foot history, neurological assessment with a monofilament, vascular checks, inspection for cuts, sores, blisters, calluses, corns, fungal infection, toenail and skin checks, footwear assessment, foot care education and referral to other healthcare professionals if concerning issues are identified.

Nail surgery is available for problems such as ingrown toenails, fungal nail infections and nail trauma, particularly where conservative treatment has not resolved the problem or the condition is severe enough to need surgical intervention. The process includes assessment, preparation, local anaesthetic, nail removal where appropriate, dressing and follow-up.

Colette is registered with the Health and Care Professions Council and is a member of The Royal College of Podiatrists. The practice was established in 2024.
