Fitzpatrick Physiotherapy

Fitzpatrick Physiotherapy provides physiotherapy appointments at Blackford Clinic in Edinburgh. The bookable physiotherapy appointments are First Appointment, for initial assessment and treatment, and Standard Appointment, for subsequent follow-on treatment. The clinic is appointment only and has free parking available.

Care is provided by Gareth, whose physiotherapy work is rooted in manual therapy and hands-on treatment. His approach includes helping patients understand what is happening during a pain experience, alongside treatment of musculoskeletal symptoms.

Clinical areas named for the practice include musculoskeletal problems, persistent and complex pain presentations, running rehabilitation, sports injuries, low back pain and pain treatment. Gareth is also a fully trained Polestar Pilates instructor and a fully qualified Retul bike fitter.

Gareth began physiotherapy studies in 1992 and was awarded a Graduate Diploma in Manual Therapy in 1999. His background includes work in the NHS and private practice, as well as roles with Newcastle football club, Newcastle Falcons rugby, the National Badminton squad, Scottish National Ballet, Edinburgh College and touring performing artists.
