Foot Health Services treats foot and lower limb concerns, including heel pain, arch pain, bunions, sports injuries, ingrown toenails, verrucae, corns, callus and diabetic foot problems. The clinic provides podiatry appointments, biomechanics assessments, diabetic assessment appointments, verruca treatment, ingrown toenail treatment and home visits.

A podiatry appointment for a new patient includes a review of medical status and medication, assessment of circulation and sensation in the feet, and discussion of the presenting concern. Nail cutting, callus reduction and corn removal may be provided within this appointment.

Ingrown toenail care includes assessment of the problem and treatment with or without local anaesthetic where needed. Nail surgery is available for nails that continue to cause problems, with removal of part or all of the nail under local anaesthetic and application of a chemical to stop regrowth.

Verruca treatment options include chemical application or needling under local anaesthetic, discussed as part of a treatment plan. Diabetic foot care includes diabetes assessments, circulation checks, assessment of sensation and advice on the effect of diabetes on the feet, with monitoring where appropriate.

Biomechanics assessments look at muscle strength, range of motion and the alignment of the foot and lower limb. The practice also offers custom orthotics and sees lower limb complaints such as heel pain, arch pain, knee pain and lower back pain in this context. Paediatric foot care is also listed among its services.

The clinic is in Great Barr, Birmingham, on the ground floor, with parking available. Home visits are offered on request for patients who are unable to attend the clinic. The podiatrists are HCPC registered and treat patients of all ages.
