Follow-up acupuncture treatment at Fourth Plinth Acupuncture is for continuing care after a first consultation, with progress reviewed and the next steps considered. New patient consultation and treatment includes time to discuss the main concern, take a full medical history and begin treatment.

The practice offers adult acupuncture, fertility acupuncture and paediatric acupuncture. Fertility acupuncture is offered for women and men, and the practice also states clinical interests in pregnancy, obstetrics and gynaecology, emotional issues, mental health, children and teenagers.

Paediatric acupuncture is available for babies, children and teenagers, and the techniques used do not always involve needles. A preliminary phone call is available for children’s health concerns before paediatric treatment.

Treatment may combine Five Element acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine. Other therapies used alongside acupuncture include moxibustion, cupping, guasha and tuina, a form of Chinese medical massage.

Fourth Plinth Acupuncture works from Saddle House in Alresford and the Botley Clinic in Southampton. The former offers adult and fertility acupuncture, while the latter also offers paediatric acupuncture. The Alresford location is fully accessible, while the Botley location is not.
