Glasgow Footcare

Glasgow Footcare provides private chiropody and podiatry care, including first appointments for new patients, routine podiatry, toenail cutting, advanced nail treatment, ingrown toenail care, nail surgery, verruca treatment and biomechanical assessment. Care is provided by HCPC registered podiatrists in a clinical foot clinic setting.

Routine podiatry and chiropody includes nail cutting, hard skin and corn removal, and management of fungal nails. Separate appointments are available for general toe nail cutting, for returning patients only, and for problematic toenails such as thickened, irregular or fungal nail infections.

Ingrown toenail care includes removal of problematic ingrown toenails, with local anaesthetic used where needed. Nail surgery is available for ingrown toenails, with single and double nail surgery appointment types listed.

The clinic provides verruca treatment, including dry needling with Dermojet and Verrutop treatment. It also offers diabetic footcare, described as holistic and specialised foot care for patients with diabetes.

Biomechanical assessment looks at the lower limb, foot function and gait, including problems linked with walking, running, sport or other activity. Orthotics may be provided to improve foot function and reduce stress over painful structures.

Glasgow Footcare is in Dennistoun, in the east end of Glasgow. The clinic states that new patients are welcome, and it also provides home visits in the local area. Free parking and public transport services are located nearby.
