Greensteps Podiatry

Greensteps Podiatry is for adults and children looking for private podiatry care for foot, ankle and lower limb problems in Sleaford. The practice treats a wide range of conditions, including cracked heels, ingrown toenails, athlete’s foot, callus, hard corns, plantar fasciopathy, Achilles tendinopathy, verrucas, diabetes footcare, flat feet and sweaty feet.

Its general podiatry appointments cover regular foot problems such as painful corns, hard skin, toenail trimming and thickened toenails. New patients are asked to book a new patient appointment, choosing either general podiatry or foot pain depending on the issue. New patient general podiatry includes a medical history, checks of blood flow and nerve function in the feet, time to discuss concerns and treatment where appropriate.

For foot pain, the practice offers biomechanical assessment and foot pain appointments, with assessment of neurovascular health, joint function and muscle strength. It can provide a working diagnosis, discuss further testing where appropriate and create an ongoing treatment plan. Orthotics may be fitted where required, and sports injury or foot pain follow-up appointments are available.

Verruca care includes a Quick Verruca Check for assessment and advice, SWIFT verruca treatment using microwave technology, and Verrutop treatment. The practice also offers fungal nail testing, simple nail cutting and diabetic footcare assessment, including checks of blood flow, nerve function and skin, with use of the NHS standard risk assessment scale.

Treatments are mainly carried out in person at the Sleaford clinic. Virtual consultations are offered in certain instances where appropriate. The practice does not currently offer home visits, and easy car parking is nearby.

Podiatry services at Greensteps Podiatry are provided by Health and Care Professions Council regulated podiatrists with a BSc Hons in Podiatry, or by a podiatry student in training with appropriate supervision and specific consent.
