Hillsborough Physiotherapy

Hillsborough Physiotherapy provides physiotherapy and sports massage in Royal Hillsborough for musculoskeletal conditions, sports injuries, post-surgical rehabilitation, chronic pain and dizziness or balance problems. Treatment is for issues including back and neck pain, headaches, shoulder pain, hip and knee pain, elbow and wrist pain, foot and ankle pain, sports injuries, dizziness, vertigo and balance disorders.

Services include manual therapy, exercise therapy, acupuncture, electrotherapy, massage therapy, sports injury rehabilitation, 1-1 Pilates, post-surgical rehabilitation, chronic pain management, vestibular rehabilitation, DSE assessments and long term condition management. Care is provided by Philip Parr, owner and lead physiotherapist. His clinical focus is musculoskeletal physiotherapy, including assessment and diagnosis of musculoskeletal conditions. His stated areas of training include strength and conditioning, acupuncture, dry needling, pilates, biomechanical assessment, sports taping, sports medicine, chronic pain management, vestibular rehabilitation and manual therapy.

Philip graduated from the University of Ulster in 2006. He worked at Blackstone Physiotherapy in Moira for 12 years, then at the Police Rehabilitation and Retraining Trust in Belfast as a Specialist Physiotherapist. He later worked there as Clinical Lead Physiotherapist and Head of Department. Since 2004, he has provided physiotherapy support to Wallace High School rugby squads.

Patients can self-refer, with no doctor referral required. Home visits are available for patients who are unable to come to the clinic. Hillsborough Physiotherapy can liaise with a GP or consultant as appropriate during treatment. The clinic has free parking at the door and disabled, ground-floor access throughout. Philip is registered with the Health Professions Council and the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy, and the clinic is registered with major healthcare providers.
