Hook Podiatry

Hook Podiatry is for people with foot, heel, nail and lower-limb pain. It provides podiatry care in Monmouth, including assessment and treatment for heel, arch, forefoot, ankle and knee pain.

Lee Hook BSc(Hons) MRCPod is the podiatrist. His Health Professions Council number is CH14101. His Royal College of Podiatry number is 14881.

Clinical areas include plantar fasciitis, Achilles tendinopathy, shin splints, general foot pain, heel pain and forefoot pain. Care also covers fungal nails, verrucas, ingrowing toenails, painful corns, callus, bunion pain and osteoarthritis-related arthritis. Other areas include excessive rolling-in, leg length differences, neuroma, diabetic foot assessments and ulcer or wound care.

Treatments include shockwave therapy, low-level laser therapy, gait analysis, orthotics, Curacorn Gel injections and nail surgery. Focus areas are fungal nail treatment, nail surgery and shockwave or laser therapy.

Named appointments cover heel or foot pain assessment, gait analysis assessment, orthotic review and shockwave therapy. Nail appointments include fungal nail assessment, fungal nail follow-up, ingrown nail assessment and ingrown nail treatment. Verruca appointments include verruca assessment, verruca needling and verruca follow-up. The practice also offers redressing appointments and painful corn treatment.

New patients are currently accepted for pain, shockwave and laser treatments, gait analysis, orthotics and ingrowing nails. They are also accepted for Curacorn Gel injections, verruca or wart treatment, fungal nail treatment and painful corns. Diabetic foot assessments and ulcer or wound care are also available to new patients. General footcare and nail cutting are offered, but not currently to new patients.
