Ideal Dental Care

Ideal Dental Care has two dental practices, in Thornton-Cleveleys and Fleetwood. It provides private dental care for teeth, gums, braces, facial concerns related to dentistry, and dental emergencies.

Its dental treatments include dental check ups, dental implants, gum care, braces, Invisalign, teeth whitening, cosmetic dentistry, root canal treatment and treatment for temporomandibular disorder, also called TMJ disorder. Braces are offered for concerns such as crooked teeth, overcrowding and gaps between teeth.

For TMJ pain, the practice links symptoms such as jaw joint pain, headaches, grinding, clenching, jaw stiffness, ear pain, difficulty chewing, restricted jaw movement and clicking or popping in the jaw with temporomandibular disorder. Care may include a custom made night guard to reduce grinding and related symptoms. Referral to a specialist may be needed in some cases.

Root canal treatment is provided for teeth where the pulp has been affected by decay, infection or abscess. The practice uses local anaesthetic where needed, may take dental X-rays, and uses a rubber dam during treatment to help protect the tooth and mouth while the canals are cleaned, disinfected and filled.
