Jessica Leyland Acupuncture provides acupuncture in Southampton for adults, children and teenagers. Care includes new patient consultation and treatment, adult follow-up acupuncture, treatment for breech baby presentation, acupuncture for 12 to 17 year olds, follow-up treatment for under 12s, and a telephone consultation for parents or carers of children under 12.

Jessica Leyland works with musculoskeletal issues, headaches and migraine, stress, depression and anxiety, IBS, chronic fatigue, menopause, menstrual problems, fertility and pregnancy. Gynaecological care, fertility support and pregnancy acupuncture are part of her stated clinical focus, including appointments for breech baby presentation.

Paediatric acupuncture is offered for children from babies through to teenagers. For younger patients, treatment may involve needles or needle-free techniques, depending on the child. Teenage patients are seen for concerns including anxiety, depression, digestive issues, headaches and migraines, menstrual conditions and sleep problems.

Treatment may include acupuncture alongside cupping, Gua sha, moxibustion and dietary and lifestyle advice in accordance with Chinese medicine. The first visit includes a medical history and discussion of treatment requirements, with treatment planned individually for the patient.

Jessica graduated from The Acupuncture Academy in 2022 with a distinction in the Professional Licentiate in Acupuncture, a three-year degree qualification accredited by the British Acupuncture Accreditation Board, and was commended for her clinical work. Her training covered Chinese medical and acupuncture theory with a focus on the Five Element approach. She also completed a postgraduate diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the College of Integrated Chinese Medicine and studied paediatric acupuncture with Rebecca Averne.

She is a member of the Association of Acupuncture Clinicians. The clinic is licensed by Southampton City Council, and she holds medical malpractice and public/products liability insurance cover.
