KG Trichology

KG Trichology sees patients in Chester, with free parking, Prestatyn, next to the train station and a car park, and Llandudno, in a central location with free parking. Appointments on this page are for an initial consultation or a follow-up appointment.

KG Trichology is provided by Kelly Golding RIT, a fully qualified and registered consultant trichologist. The service assesses and treats hair and scalp concerns, with consultations focused on diagnosis, treatment options and a structured plan based on the patient’s condition, preferences and lifestyle.

Clinical areas include hair loss, male and female pattern hair loss, hair thinning, excessive shedding and scarring alopecia. Scalp conditions treated include pityriasis capitis, also known as dandruff, seborrheic dermatitis, psoriasis, folliculitis and other scalp-related conditions.

An initial consultation includes discussion of hair and scalp history, medical history, diet, lifestyle and specific concerns. The hair and scalp are then examined, and trichoscopy or a digital microscope may be used to look more closely at the scalp, hair follicles and hair growth patterns.

Treatment planning may include in-clinic treatments, home care products, dietary recommendations and lifestyle changes. Treatment sessions may include scalp massage, soothing treatments, specialised serums, and, where considered necessary, topical or laser therapies aimed at stimulating hair growth and strengthening follicles.

Follow-up appointments are used to monitor the condition and make adjustments to the treatment plan if required. KG Trichology may also advise referral to a GP or another specialist for further investigation or blood tests.
