Laverton Health Clinic

Weight management care at Laverton Health Clinic centres on lifestyle medicine, nutrition, exercise and, where appropriate after a consultation, private prescribing. The clinic works with patients on weight, lifestyle factors and related medication review, and may update the patient's NHS GP with consent. Dr Vimal Patel has undertaken SCOPE accredited training through the National Weight Loss Programme to prescribe weight loss medications.

Laverton Health Clinic also provides GP medical consultations for adults and children. For children, lifestyle advice may be given using a whole-family approach, with individual advice for the child's case. Women's health is a stated area of care, including symptoms related to hormonal dysregulation and menopause.

Dr Mala Jivanji is a GP, Lifestyle Medicine Specialist and life coach, with over a decade of experience as a medical doctor and a background as a former NHS GP Partner. Her clinical interests include disease prevention, treatment and reversal, weight management, women's health, hormonal dysregulation and menopause. She has a diploma in Lifestyle Medicine and is a member of the British Society of Lifestyle Medicine.

Dr Vimal Patel qualified as a GP in 2015 after studying medicine and intercalating in psychology. His clinical work includes skin disease, mental health, insomnia, arthritis, and metabolic, circulatory and respiratory disease. His interests include nutrition, exercise and lifestyle medicine, including assessment of the six pillars of lifestyle medicine.

Appointments are available by video and in person in Market Harborough. In-person appointments are based within RPM Health Clinic, with free on-site parking available. Private prescriptions can be issued after a consultation if medication is recommended, sent electronically to a chosen pharmacy or delivered to the patient's home.
