Light Joints Physiotherapy Home Visits

Light Joints Physiotherapy treats musculoskeletal pain, injury, stiffness and movement problems, including back pain, neck pain, shoulder pain, elbow pain, knee pain, hip pain, ankle and foot pain, and running injuries. Care is based around physiotherapy assessment and treatment, with rehabilitation planning where appropriate.

The service includes face-to-face physiotherapy assessment, physiotherapy assessment with ultrasound, diagnostic ultrasound assessment, joint and tendon injections, corticosteroid injections, sports massage, medical acupuncture and hot stone massage. Ultrasound may be used for persistent or unclear symptoms to support assessment and treatment planning.

Joint and tendon injection appointments include a specialist assessment before treatment, with injection treatment provided where clinically appropriate. The injection service is delivered by an Independent Prescriber. Physiotherapy and ultrasound assessment are delivered by HCPC registered physiotherapists, including a physiotherapist completing a PgCert in Musculoskeletal Ultrasound.

Sports massage is offered for muscle tightness, fatigue and training recovery, and is delivered by sports therapists and physiotherapists. The assessment process may look at movement, strength and function, with digital strength testing used where appropriate.

You do not need a GP referral for physiotherapy assessment and treatment. The practice offers same-week appointments whenever possible, and physiotherapy home visits are also listed as a care option. Insurance physiotherapy initial assessments and follow-up appointments are available.
