Llandovery Podiatry Clinic provides podiatry care for foot health, foot pain, nail problems, verrucas and diabetic foot assessment. Services include routine podiatry, nail cutting, luxury podiatry, nail surgery, foot pain treatment and verruca treatment.
Routine podiatry covers nail cutting, ingrowing toenails, corn treatment and callus debridement. Luxury Podiatry includes a foot soak in a foot spa massage chair, exfoliation, routine podiatry and a foot massage. Nail surgery includes partial nail removal and total nail removal under local anaesthetic.
Foot pain assessment may cover causes such as plantar fasciitis, bunions, heel pain or spurs, arthritis, overuse injuries and poorly fitting footwear. Care may include examination of the feet, gait and posture, with orthotics or insoles, stretching and strengthening exercises, footwear advice, lifestyle advice or further podiatry treatment where appropriate.
Verruca treatment includes assessment and diagnosis, debridement of thickened skin around the verruca, application of specialist treatments and follow-up where needed. The clinic also offers diabetic foot assessment for people living with diabetes.
Sian Foster is a qualified podiatrist. She graduated in 2018 with a Bachelor of Science with honours in podiatry from Cardiff Metropolitan University. She has qualifications in local anaesthetics and pharmacology for prescribing podiatry related medication, is registered with the HCPC and is a member of the Royal College of Podiatry. She has worked in the NHS and in private practice.
New patients must have a New Patient Appointment before routine podiatry treatment, nail cutting or verruca treatment.
