Longman Osteopathy

Initial consultation & treatment is for assessment and hands-on care for musculoskeletal pain and injury. Longman Osteopathy treats concerns from the neck to the feet. Clinical areas include acute and chronic back pain, sciatica, trapped nerves, herniated or prolapsed discs, headaches and migraines.

It also works with arthritis, spondylosis, rheumatic pain, scoliosis, jaw pain, tennis elbow and golfer's elbow. General aches, joint pains, sports injuries and pregnancy related pain are also named areas of care.

Care is provided by Georgina Longman, M.Ost, a GOSC registered osteopath. She graduated from Swansea University with a Masters of Osteopathy. She also worked as an osteopath in Canada before returning to the West Midlands.

Treatment may include stretching, massage, cranial techniques, manipulation, mobilisation and muscle engagement. Georgina shares clinical findings during appointments and may recommend exercises or lifestyle advice.

Specific services include Osteopathy, Medical Acupuncture, Pregnancy & Osteopathy, Baby/Paediatric Osteopathy, and Sports/Deep Tissue Massage. Medical acupuncture is also described as dry needling. It targets muscle trigger points and may be combined with osteopathic treatment.
