Manor Drive Physiotherapy

Manor Drive Physiotherapy treats muscular and joint-related pain, and provides movement rehabilitation after injury, surgery or illness. Its physiotherapy work covers neck and back pain, shoulder pain, knee pain and other musculoskeletal problems for adults and people over 16.

The clinic provides Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy Assessment and Treatment, Sports Injury Assessment, Treatment and Rehabilitation, and Running Injury Assessment and Treatment. Sports injury care includes muscle strains, ligament strains and rehabilitation after sports injury. Running injury work includes data-led risk identification and management using the Materialise Footscan System and RunScribe Gait Analysis System.

Physiotherapy assessment may include active or passive movement of the affected area to help identify the cause of symptoms. Treatment methods named by the clinic include exercise, massage, manual therapy, heat or cold, and taping.

Manor Drive Physiotherapy is owned by Chris Newman, a Chartered Physiotherapist with 20 years' experience treating musculoskeletal injuries and pain, post-surgery rehabilitation and sports injuries.

At a first appointment, patients are asked about their symptoms, medical history and main goal of treatment. If the presentation indicates, the assessment may include questions to rule out the likelihood of serious medical conditions. The physical assessment may involve moving, bending or reaching, and patients are asked to dress so the area being assessed and treated can be seen. Photographs or video may be used to capture relevant measurable data, and audio recordings are used for note-taking.

The clinic is based in Worcester Park. Treatment is for people over the age of 16, and the clinic advises that patients under 16 seek treatment with a paediatric physiotherapist.
