MedHealth Ultrasound

MedHealth Ultrasound is for people who want private diagnostic ultrasound for symptoms, screening or health checks, without needing a GP referral. Care is delivered in person at clinics in Portsmouth, Southampton and Ryde, with scans carried out by NHS-registered sonographers in a clinical setting.

The service covers women's health ultrasound, including pelvic ultrasound for pelvic pain, heavy periods, bloating, irregular bleeding, ovarian cysts, fibroids and endometriosis concerns. It also offers PCOS ultrasound assessment, women's wellness health checks, fertility baseline scans and follicular tracking packages, including scans used for ovulation tracking, ovarian reserve assessment, cycle monitoring and reproductive health assessment.

Men's health scans include men's wellness health checks, abdominal, bladder and prostate ultrasound, kidney, bladder and prostate scans, and testicular ultrasound for lumps, pain, swelling or other changes in the testes and scrotal structures. Abdominal and urinary scans are available for abdominal pain, bloating, gallbladder concerns, fatty liver concerns, abnormal blood tests, kidney pain, urinary symptoms, infections, blood in urine and bladder emptying issues.

Screening and health check options include abdominal aortic aneurysm ultrasound, upper abdominal ultrasound, kidney and bladder ultrasound for women, and wider wellness scans. The abdominal scans assess organs such as the liver, gallbladder, pancreas, spleen, kidneys and bladder, depending on the appointment type.

MedHealth Ultrasound also provides thyroid and neck ultrasound for thyroid lumps, swelling, nodules, goitre, Hashimoto's disease, Graves' disease, lymph nodes, salivary glands and other neck structures. Musculoskeletal ultrasound is available for soft tissue pain, swelling, lumps or injury, including tendons, ligaments, muscles, joints and bursae, with scan areas including the shoulder, elbow, wrist, hand, hip, knee, ankle, foot and calf. Hernia scans and lumps and bumps scans are also available.

Each scan includes a detailed assessment and clear reporting. For some services, the report can be used for GP or consultant review.
