Mew Medical Services

GP consultations are the core service at Mew Medical Services in Chertsey. The clinic provides private, face-to-face GP consultations for adults and children, with extended GP consultations and GP follow-up consultations available for patients who need a longer review or a return appointment after earlier assessment.

Blood testing is a major part of the clinic's work. Services include private blood test phlebotomy, in-clinic blood testing and blood results consultations. A full blood count can be run in the clinic and discussed during the appointment. Other samples, including ferritin, CRP, vitamins and thyroid tests, are sent to an NHS laboratory, with each result reviewed by a doctor.

The clinic also provides microsuction ear wax removal from age 16, including examination of both ears. Its treatment services include IV therapy assessment and IV therapy review, IV iron infusion for adults with laboratory-confirmed iron deficiency where tablets have not worked, are not tolerated or are not suitable, and vitamin B12 injections for adults with confirmed deficiency.

Mew Medical Services offers PRP injections for selected joint and tendon conditions, including knee, elbow, shoulder, hip, Achilles and heel problems, and scalp PRP for pattern hair loss after doctor assessment. Joint and tendon PRP is given under ultrasound guidance. The clinic states that PRP evidence varies by condition, so it explains suitability, tries first-line care first and stops or refers on if PRP is not helping.

Care is provided by GP partners, and the doctor who assesses a patient also provides the treatment where treatment goes ahead. The doctors' service leads cover PRP, IV iron, ear microsuction, blood testing, results review and clinical governance. The clinic is by appointment and is not an emergency service.
