Midlothian Foot Care

Midlothian Foot Care provides podiatry and chiropody for adults and children. The clinic sees preventative foot care, acute foot and lower limb symptoms, and longer-term foot problems, including foot pain, corns and callus, bunions, ingrown toenails, verrucae, blisters, sprains, ulcers and persistent nail infections.

Preventative care includes nail cutting, hard skin removal, corn removal, annual diabetic assessments, insoles and orthotics. Bookable appointments include new patient appointments, routine appointments, nail cut appointments, consultation with no treatment, Curacorn consultation, ingrown toenail appointments, biomechanical assessment, biomechanical assessment with ultrasound scan, consultation with ultrasound scan and Presso-therapy.

Specialist podiatry treatments include fenestration, laser therapy, OSTENIL joint injection, Curacorn, Presso-Therapy and verruca treatments. Verruca options include Falknor's needling under local anaesthetic, Verrutop topical treatment and CryOmega cryosurgery. CryOmega is used for common lesions including verrucae, skin tags and seborrhoeic keratoses.

The clinical team includes podiatrists with BSc or MSc podiatry qualifications, HCPC registration and Royal College of Podiatry membership. Clinical interests represented at the clinic include MSK, sports injuries and general wellbeing, with additional training noted in sports taping, steroid injections, dermal fillers for feet and toenail reconstruction.

Care is provided at the clinic. Emergency appointments are available, and late night and weekend appointments are by appointment only.
