MOTUM Physiotherapy and Wellness

MOTUM Physiotherapy and Wellness is based at one clinic in Maidstone, providing physiotherapy, sports injury care, massage, young athlete support, home visits and biomechanical bracing. The practice works with everyday aches, spinal health, joint pain, muscle and joint injuries, hip and groin problems, and rehabilitation needs after injury or surgery.

Care is available in person at the clinic and through home visits. Its home visit service covers post-operative orthopaedic rehabilitation after elective or trauma-related surgery, including total hip and knee replacements, spinal surgery, and upper or lower limb procedures. It also works on mobility and balance, functional independence at home, and support for people in residential and care home settings.

The clinical team includes clinic director and lead physiotherapist Ben Motum, physiotherapist Sarah Filmer, and sports massage therapist James Arnold. Across the team, the stated clinical areas include sports physiotherapy, complex joint and muscle injuries, spinal health, hip and groin injuries, dry needling, paediatric rehabilitation, orthopaedics, trauma and community rehabilitation.

MOTUM also provides care for young athletes and children returning to sport. Its sports injury work is supported by experience across elite sport, private practice and the NHS, as stated by the practice.

Home visits are offered across Kent, including Bearsted and surrounding villages. Patients do not need a GP referral to use the service.
