About Movement Hub Osteopathy
Movement Hub Osteopathy provides osteopathy for pain and dysfunction, with care focused on musculoskeletal assessment, hands-on treatment and movement. Angus works with muscular and joint pain, including neck, shoulder, back and lower limb pain, as well as nerve pain such as sciatica, postural related pain and dysfunction, acute and chronic pain syndromes, and sports related injuries.
The practice offers initial osteopathy appointments and follow-up osteopathy appointments, alongside soft tissue therapy, described as sports massage. Sports massage is used for pre-event and post-event support, competition needs, or as part of a rehabilitation programme. Kinesiology taping may also be used during treatment or applied independently at home to support pain control and movement awareness.
Running and Movement Analysis is available for walkers and runners of different levels. The session uses treadmill analysis, with movement recorded and shared so you can see gait and movement patterns. The assessment looks at the whole body during typical walking or running gait, highlights dysfunctional patterns, and may include prescribed exercises aimed at developing more efficient movement.
Shockwave therapy is offered for a range of musculoskeletal conditions, including plantar fasciitis, myofascial pain syndrome, chronic tendinopathies, jumper’s knee, tennis elbow and hip pain. The practice combines shockwave therapy with a standard osteopathy session and exercise prescription, with the number of sessions depending on the presenting condition.
Angus’s background includes sport, winter sports and teaching alpine skiing across Europe. He has worked in NHS outpatient musculoskeletal services as well as in private practice, and has further training as a certified running technique specialist. His clinical focus includes helping people move with less pain, improve function and support general wellbeing through osteopathy, movement analysis and related treatment options.
