New Family Chiropractic

New Family Chiropractic provides chiropractic care in Loughborough for adults, children, babies and people during pregnancy. Care is centred on manipulation and specific manual adjustments for the spine and other joints that are not moving properly, with attention to musculoskeletal problems linked with accidents, stress, lack of exercise, poor posture, illness, and everyday wear and tear.

Alexandra Newton is a Doctor of Chiropractic and the practice is a small satellite practice set up to support her existing patients in the local area, as well as new patients by personal referral. Appointments include adult consultation, child consultation for ages 0 to 16, adult treatment, child treatment and a family session for members of the same household.

Alex's clinical interests include paediatric musculoskeletal health, pregnancy care, care for babies and young children, Kinesio Taping, Sacro Occipital Technique, myofascial dry needling and Cranio Fascial Dynamics. Sacro Occipital Technique is used for analysis and correction involving the spine, pelvis, cranium, extremities and visceral system. Cranio Fascial Dynamics is also listed as part of the practice's work.

Radiological examination is available off-site if clinically indicated. Alex may recommend x-rays to support treatment, and patients are asked to discuss this before arranging them.

Alex graduated from the Anglo-European College of Chiropractic in 1990 and completed a Masters degree in Advanced Professional Practice in Paediatric Musculoskeletal Health in 2014. She is registered with the General Chiropractic Council, registration number 00214, and is a member of the British Chiropractic Association, a Fellow of the Royal College of Chiropractors Specialist Faculty for Pregnancy and Paediatrics, a member of Sacro-Occipital Technique Organisation Europe, and a registered Cranio Fascial Dynamics practitioner.

The consulting room is set up from Alex's home and has a small waiting area and cloakroom facilities. The practice also notes limited parking on the drive, permitted on-road parking and a bicycle stand for people arriving by bike.
