Not Just Backs Ltd has two sites, in Salisbury and Tisbury. It provides osteopathy for back and neck pain and musculo-skeletal problems for people from newborn babies to older adults.

Care includes osteopathic assessment and treatment, with general and medical advice, exercise guidance and patient aftercare. The practice also lists a tendon clinic, the Perrin Technique, integrative nutrition, foot health and HeartHealing® among its treatment areas.

Pregnancy and postnatal care are part of the service. The practice treats spinal and pelvic pain in pregnancy and gives advice on exercise, posture and labour positions. Postnatal problems it names include backache, coccyx pain, headaches and tendonitis, particularly in the wrist and shoulder.

Paediatric osteopathy is offered for babies and children. The practice sees babies where feeding difficulties may have a physical cause, and children and teenagers with posture issues, growth-related strain and sporting injuries.

It also assesses bite and occlusion in patients with longstanding spinal problems. This work mainly uses cranial osteopathy, and some work may involve working directly on the bones in the mouth. It works with an orthopaedic dentist for patients undergoing appliance or brace work.

For older adults, the practice treats issues linked with wear and tear, restricted joints, increased muscle tone, arthritis or degeneration, and offers exercise advice. It also sees patients for post-surgical rehabilitation and says people with osteoporosis can receive treatment adapted to the individual. A one-to-one telephone conversation with an osteopath is available. All osteopaths at the practice are registered with the General Osteopathic Council.
