NP Physio

First Visit Assessment & Treatment at NP Physio is for musculoskeletal pain or discomfort, including injury and illness-related problems. The clinic provides outpatient musculoskeletal physiotherapy, covering conditions affecting muscles, fascia, nerves, tendons, ligaments, discs, blood vessels and joints.

Nicola Price treats spinal pain, including back and neck pain with or without nerve involvement, sprains, arthritis, muscle strains and spasms, postural problems, bursitis, joint stiffness, sport-related injuries and work-related injuries. Rehabilitation is also offered before and after surgery. Treatment options may include manual therapy, taping, acupuncture, electrotherapy, manipulation, therapeutic exercise, one-to-one Pilates, advice and education.

Women's health physiotherapy covers disorders affecting the pelvis and pelvic floor. NP Physio offers natal assessment, antenatal and postnatal care, pelvic floor examination where appropriate, and gynaecology physiotherapy. Areas covered include pelvic floor weakness or tightness, incontinence, prolapse, urinary frequency and urgency including overactive bladder syndrome, constipation, and pregnancy-related conditions affecting the pelvis and pelvic floor.

A full natal assessment includes pelvic floor assessment, load impact testing and muscle strength testing. Gynaecology physiotherapy may include pelvic floor muscle re-training, with or without stimulation or biofeedback, correction of bladder habits, risk reduction, advice and education.

Nicola graduated with a BSc Honours Degree in Physiotherapy in 2005. Her background includes NHS work, private clinic work, in-house physiotherapy for an elite gymnastics club, acupuncture training and certification as a Pilates instructor. She is also a former international elite gymnast and treats people of all ages and activity levels.

Care is provided at the private clinic in Croxley Green, with free parking. A chaperone is encouraged for pelvic floor examination and is required for patients under 18. NP Physio is covered by most medical insurance providers, with invoices available for patients to claim through their insurer.
