Becky provides remedial massage, holistic massage, pregnancy massage, hot stone massage, warm bamboo massage, Indian head massage and manual lymphatic drainage massage at Pear Tree Therapies in Marlborough. Appointments are available as first appointments and follow-up treatments across these massage types.

Her massage work combines holistic and remedial methods. She tailors each session to the client’s needs and concerns, using slow, precise techniques and adjusting pressure from light to firm where appropriate. Remedial massage sits alongside sports and remedial training, deep tissue and trigger point therapy, and myofascial cupping.

Holistic massage is offered for clients looking for a relaxing massage using light or firmer pressure. Indian head massage uses massage oil and includes the upper back, arms, neck, face and scalp. Hot stone massage uses oil and heated volcanic basalt stones with massage strokes, and can be used as part of a holistic treatment or, by prior arrangement, as part of a remedial treatment. Warm bamboo massage is also available.

Pregnancy massage is available from the second trimester onwards for normal, low-risk pregnancies. The treatment uses lighter massage than a standard holistic massage, and deep tissue massage is not recommended. Becky uses side-lying, seated and back-lying positions with cushions for support. High-risk pregnancies are not treated, including cases involving vaginal bleeding or spotting, threatened miscarriage, early labour, placental dysfunction, pre-eclampsia or diabetes. Low-risk clients are asked to inform their midwife before treatment.

Manual lymphatic drainage massage is a gentle, rhythmic, light-touch treatment performed in specific directions to encourage lymphatic circulation. The MLD treatment provided is not suitable for post-operative recovery. It is not recommended for people with active cancer, acute infection or inflammation, fever, cellulitis, deep vein thrombosis, congestive heart failure, untreated hypothyroidism or arterial hypotension, and clients with medical concerns are advised to consult their GP before booking.

Becky has worked as a holistic massage therapist since 2014 and as a sports and remedial massage therapist since 2015. Her qualifications include ITEC Level 3 Massage Diploma, BTEC Level 4 Sports and Remedial Massage, Deep Tissue and Trigger Point Therapy, Indian Head Massage, Hot Stone Massage, Warm Bamboo Massage, Manual Lymphatic Drainage Massage, Pregnancy Massage and Myofascial Cupping. She is a member of the Federation of Holistic Therapists and is on its accredited register.
