Physio Science

Physio Science clinicians provide physiotherapy, virtual physiotherapy, hand therapy, sports therapy massage, sports physician appointments, shockwave therapy and strength and conditioning personal training. The practice focuses on sports and exercise medicine, musculoskeletal injuries and rehabilitation.

Sports medicine at Physio Science covers physical fitness and the treatment and prevention of injuries linked to sport and exercise. The sports physician service covers muscle, ligament, tendon and bone problems. It may also cover chronic illnesses that affect physical performance, including asthma and diabetes.

The sports physician can advise on injury management, injury prevention and concussion. Assessment may include clinical assessment and imaging. Rehabilitation options include injection therapy.

The sports physician service is provided by Dr Stephen Lewis, Sports Physician - Independent Practitioner. Dr Stephen Lewis is currently not accepting new referrals.

Care is available by virtual physiotherapy, with video or telephone appointments stated for online physiotherapy. Physio Science is also listed for home visits, and for clinic appointments in Brighton and Hurstpierpoint, Hassocks.

Physio Science also provides Player Welfare services for sports organisations. These include pitch side first aid cover for sporting events, fixtures and festivals, Player Welfare Integration, Concussion Management and Sport Science.
