About Physiotherapy Works
Physiotherapy Works has three sites, in Cleckheaton, Queensbury, Bradford, and Elland, where shockwave therapy is available.
The practice provides physiotherapy for musculoskeletal injuries, sports injuries, paediatrics, women’s health and cancer rehabilitation. Care is delivered by chartered physiotherapists across its venues.
Musculoskeletal physiotherapy covers spinal and peripheral joint conditions, muscle strains, ligament sprains, post-surgery rehabilitation, osteoarthritis, headaches and sports injuries. Treatment may include joint mobilisations, massage, myofascial release, trigger point release, acupuncture and exercise prescription. Home visits are available for physiotherapy at home, including manual therapy and exercise prescription.
Shockwave therapy is used for plantar fasciitis, Achilles tendinopathy, tennis elbow, golfer’s elbow, shoulder tendon problems and patellar tendinopathy. Clinical Pilates includes one-to-one mat Pilates, reformer Pilates, studio classes and online classes. Runner reviews include functional movement assessment and gait analysis. BikeFit covers bike position, set-up adjustments and home exercise planning.
Paediatric physiotherapy supports babies, children and teenagers aged 0 to 18. It covers injuries, developmental concerns, neurological conditions and neuromuscular conditions. MSK paediatric care covers sports injuries, muscle or joint pain, sprains, strains, growth-related aches and mild hypermobility symptoms. Specialist paediatric care covers developmental delay, cerebral palsy, genetic conditions and complex or long-standing concerns.
Women’s health physiotherapy covers pelvic floor dysfunction, bladder and bowel symptoms, prolapse, pelvic pain, menopause and post-surgical issues. It also covers pregnancy-related pain, postnatal aches, pelvic girdle pain, back pain, hip pain and return-to-exercise rehabilitation. Postnatal checks include pelvic floor assessment, abdominal muscle checks, scar assessment, posture review and movement review. Pessary assessment and fitting is available for confirmed pelvic organ prolapse.
Health cover may be available through BUPA, AXA PPP, AVIVA, Nuffield Health, Simply Health and Sovereign Health.
