Miss Yana Ariyanayagam

Miss Yana Ariyanayagam helps patients with dental hygiene care, including non-surgical periodontal treatment to manage gum disease, root surface debridement with local anaesthesia, and tailor-made oral hygiene advice. She also monitors and screens for dental caries, applies topical fluoride and fissure sealants to help reduce dental caries, provides tooth whitening, and offers smoking cessation advice.

Yana qualified with a Hygiene Diploma from Eastman Dental Hospital and the Royal College of Surgeons in 2011. She has developed her skills in treating advanced gum disease and receives patients for all levels of hygiene care at Platinum Dental Care, including patients who come through direct access without needing a dental check-up.

Her approach includes taking time to talk to patients and explain dental disease, so they can better understand their oral healthcare and general health.
