PRO EAR CLINIC

PRO EAR CLINIC LTD is for adults and young people aged 16 and over who need earwax removal, an ear examination, follow-up care after partial clearance, or an emergency home visit for ear examination or earwax removal. The service covers common earwax-related symptoms such as muffled or reduced hearing, a blocked or full feeling in the ear, tinnitus, dizziness or balance issues, earache, itchiness, discharge or an unpleasant smell.

Earwax removal is carried out using microsuction or water irrigation. Microsuction uses gentle suction under direct vision, while water irrigation uses a warm water rinse to clear softened wax. The method is selected after an initial consultation, with ear condition and patient preference taken into account.

Every appointment includes an ear health assessment using video otoscopy to examine the ear canal and eardrum. If wax removal is not needed, an ear examination only appointment is available. The clinic also offers pre-hearing aid wax removal, intended to support accurate hearing aid fitting and performance.

Care is delivered through home visits across Bristol, including standard and emergency home visit appointments, and through appointments at The Hampton Spa in Oldbury. Home visits are aimed at people who prefer treatment at home, have limited mobility, are busy, or live in a care home setting.

The service also provides ear care for care home residents, working onsite with residents, staff and families. Follow-up visits are available where continued care is needed after an earlier appointment, including where wax remains or recurs.
