Riversleigh Podiatry - Lynne Hawkes treats foot, ankle and lower limb problems in Royal Leamington Spa. Existing patient appointments cover regular foot care, including examination of the feet, discussion of concerns, cutting and shaping toenails, removal of hard skin or corns, moisturising foot lotion and foot care advice. Verruca treatment may be carried out where needed.

New patient appointments include questions about medical history, current medication and relevant lifestyle or family history, followed by checks of blood flow and sensation in the feet. Lynne also offers consultation appointments for a particular area of concern, with discussion of signs and symptoms, when and where the problem occurs, and appropriate diagnostic tests where needed.

Her podiatry and chiropody services cover corns, hard skin, cracked heels, thickened toenails, fungal toenails, ingrown toenails, verrucas and nail problems. She provides verruca needling and nail surgery for ingrown toenails, with nail surgery carried out under local anaesthetic after a consultation.

Children can be seen for foot and lower limb problems. The practice also covers knee conditions and injuries linked to malalignment or overuse, including meniscal tears, ligament sprains or ruptures, articular cartilage damage, dislocation or subluxation, patello-femoral syndrome, patellar tendonitis, bursitis, apophysitis, osteochondritis and ilio-tibial band friction syndrome. A biomechanical assessment is used to consider whether therapeutic insoles are suitable.

Lynne Hawkes holds a BSc (Hons) in Podiatric Medicine, is an MChS Member of the Royal College of Podiatry, and is registered with the Health and Care Professions Council. Her HCPC registration permits her to administer local anaesthetic and supply certain prescription only medicines. She has worked in the NHS and has experience with diabetic patients and high risk feet.
