Serenity Baby Clinic

Serenity Baby Clinic supports newborns, babies and children with feeding concerns, colic and reflux, sleep, growth, development, common childhood health problems and early family care. The clinic works with families in Whitchurch and is led by neonatal intensive care nurses, with paediatric support also provided by an Advanced Clinical Practitioner.

Baby and newborn services include the baby support clinic, home newborn support visits, NICU baby support at home, breastfeeding support, breastfeeding confidence courses, newborn confidence courses and new grandparent confidence courses. The team supports concerns including latching difficulties, painful feeding, low milk supply, bottle feeding issues, oral restrictions, high palates, oral aversions and poor suck coordination.

Tongue tie assessment is available, including oral and feeding assessment. The clinic states that it plans to offer assessment and division, and can refer to a partner for division where needed. Colic, reflux and unsettled baby appointments are also offered, including review appointments.

For older babies and children, the paediatric child health clinic covers constipation, toileting issues, bedwetting, allergies, skin issues, developmental concerns and support for children with complex health needs. Family learning and activity sessions include baby first aid, private group first aid, one to one first aid, Home Ed CPR, baby weaning information and safety sessions, baby massage, baby yoga, toddler yoga, messy play, SEND beach experience, beach parties and Movement Magic.

Care is provided in clinic and through home visits, with home visits available for the clinic's services and classes. Some breastfeeding antenatal support is also available online. The clinic is on the first floor with no lift access, and says appointments or sessions can be arranged in a ground floor space or at home for people with mobility issues or a disability.
