The physiotherapists at Sharp Physiotherapy Limited provide physiotherapy, neuro physiotherapy, respiratory physiotherapy, paediatric physiotherapy, physiotherapy at home, Pilates/Core Stability and sports massage. Physiotherapy begins with a full consultation and assessment by a specialist physiotherapist, with treatment usually included in the initial appointment.

Neurological rehabilitation is available for people living with, or recovering from, conditions including multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's disease, incomplete spinal cord injury, peripheral nerve injury, stroke and traumatic brain injury. The service also sees people with neurological symptoms who do not yet have a formal diagnosis. The neurological rehabilitation team can provide medico-legal assessments and reports for court purposes. This service is led by Dr Nicola Spence, who is also MSc Advanced Physiotherapy Programme Leader at the University of Salford.

Respiratory physiotherapy is available for adults and children, with support for long COVID, bronchiectasis, asthma, COPD and other respiratory conditions. The respiratory physiotherapist can help with symptom management, breathing dysfunction, exercise deconditioning, pacing of activities, self-management strategies, medication review, and inhaler technique checks and advice. For respiratory physiotherapy, a GP referral is not needed, and appointments can be face to face or virtual.

Children's physiotherapy covers acute soft tissue and sporting injuries, post surgery management, growth related and paediatric specific conditions, chronic pain, chronic fatigue, neurological conditions, and acute and chronic brain injury. Support may include diagnosis, symptom management for acute injuries, post surgical rehabilitation, self-management for growth related conditions, pacing strategies for chronic pain and chronic fatigue, and advice for school.

Pilates/Core Stability sessions use exercises based on the Pilates method, taught in a one-to-one setting or class environment following an individual assessment. Sports massage is also available, with requirements discussed before treatment by a fully qualified physiotherapist.

Care may be provided in clinic, virtually for respiratory physiotherapy, at home where arranged, or in nursing homes for neurological rehabilitation where required. Home visits depend on location and need.
