Shire Foot Clinic

Shire Foot Clinic provides podiatry and chiropody care in Glossop. Sharon Pearson sees patients for core foot care, routine chiropody, nail care and foot pain assessment, with appointments available in clinic and as home visits.

Core podiatry covers callous, corns, thick nails, long nails, dry skin, cracked heels, yellow nails, bruised nails, fungal nails and athlete's foot. The clinic also offers foot pain assessments, including assessment for children.

Ingrown toenails and problematic deformed nails are assessed before treatment. Nail surgery is performed under local anaesthetic and is provided as a care package after the initial assessment.

Warm wax therapy is available, including Prende Warm Wax Therapy as part of some core podiatry appointments. The clinic lists paraffin wax therapy for arthritis, sports injuries, sore muscles, stiff joints, poor circulation, chilblains, eczema and psoriasis, bursitis, heel and arch pain, inflammation and plantar fasciitis.

Sharon Pearson graduated with First Class Honours from the University of Salford. She is registered with the Health and Care Professions Council and is a member of the Royal College of Podiatry. She has undergone DBS checks, is qualified to administer local anaesthetics for minor surgical procedures, and is qualified to prescribe and sell prescription-only medicines for infections and disorders.
