Tiree Podiatry Clinic
About Tiree Podiatry Clinic
The Cambuslang Initial Podiatry Appointment, at the Glasgow clinic, is for assessment of foot, ankle and lower limb concerns. Sole Satisfaction Podiatry also works from Tiree and from its podiatry and orthotics clinic in Oban, with review podiatry appointments available for follow-up care.
Its podiatry service focuses on the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of disorders of the foot, ankle and lower limb. Foot health practitioner care covers routine foot care and common issues including corns, calluses, ingrown nails, fungal infections and verrucas. Care may include nail cutting, hard skin removal and advice on footwear, hygiene and overall foot health, with more complex cases referred to the podiatrist.
Orthotics includes biomechanical assessment for foot, leg and lower leg problems. The orthotist provides custom-made orthotic devices including insoles, braces and splints, following a detailed assessment. Orthotic devices are commonly prescribed for conditions including plantar fasciitis, shin splints, arthritis and cerebral palsy.
At the shared holistic clinic, podiatry and orthotics sit alongside physiotherapy, acupuncture, Bowen Therapy, massage and naturopathy. The wider musculo-skeletal work includes physiotherapy assessment for musculo-skeletal injuries, sports conditions, pain conditions, pre and post-operative support and chronic problems. Acupuncture and naturopathy services cover areas including emotional issues, fertility, gynaecological and digestive concerns, pain conditions, neurological and skin conditions, fibromyalgia, rheumatoid arthritis, thyroid issues, chronic fatigue and Long Covid.
Practitioners at the shared clinic may refer within the team and, with a patient's permission, speak to another practitioner involved in the clinic about their health needs.
