South Downs Clinic

South Downs Clinic offers private podiatry, chiropody, osteopathy, reflexology and acupuncture appointments at South Downs Clinic and The Haven in Henfield. The clinic is open to people of all ages and was established in 2008 as a podiatry clinic, with osteopathy added in 2013 and reflexology now also available.

Podiatry and chiropody services include nail cutting, corn and callus removal, diabetic footcare, biomechanical assessment, orthotic fitting, nail bracing, verruca needling and ingrown toenail surgery. The podiatry team’s stated specialisms include biomechanics and nail surgery.

Osteopathy appointments cover back pain, joint pain, muscle pain, headaches, pain related to wear and tear, sporting and occupational injuries, and postural issues. The osteopaths’ clinical interests and training include headaches, stress, breathing dysfunction, Chronic Fatigue, ME, Long Covid, exercise, movement and prevention, with one osteopath also having studied naturopathy.

Reflexology treatments at the clinic include foot reflexology, hand reflexology and hot stone reflexology. Acupuncture is also provided on Saturdays by a hosted acupuncturist, with stated postgraduate training areas including pain control, muscle injuries, reproductive health, cancer care, pregnancy and birth.

The clinical team includes practitioners registered with the General Osteopathic Council, the Association of Reflexologists and the British Acupuncture Council. The clinic also states that it works with local medical centres and GPs, and can, with permission, request that a patient is seen for tests, antibiotics or other checks if needed.
