New Patient Routine Podiatry is for your first podiatry appointment, with a medical history, an assessment of your foot health and treatment such as nail care, removal of hard skin, corns and calluses. Stirchley Podiatry provides foot care in Birmingham, with follow-up podiatry available for returning patients who need ongoing nail care, treatment for hard skin or corns, or help with concerns that have developed since their last visit.

The podiatry service includes assessments for ingrowing toenails, including pain, swelling or infection around a toenail. The clinician can assess whether conservative treatment or minor nail surgery is suitable, and nail surgery may be arranged after an initial assessment. Verrucae assessments are also available for plantar warts, with discussion of treatment options from conservative management to more intensive treatment.

Other foot care appointments include Nails Only for patients who have already had a new patient treatment and do not need intensive scalpel treatment. The practice also offers fungal nail assessment with a fungal test.

Stirchley Ear Care provides nurse-led ear wax removal by microsuction. Appointments can include an ear health check, suitability assessment and microsuction where appropriate. This service is for people with symptoms such as blocked ears, reduced hearing, ear fullness, discomfort, crackling, ringing or hearing aid feedback. Ear care appointments are carried out by an NMC registered nurse in a clinical environment at Stirchley Podiatry.

Care is appointment based and provided in person. The practice is based in portacabins on the River Brook Medical Centre site.
