Dr Ullal Ananth Nayak

Dr Nayak works in endocrinology, diabetes and general medicine, with clinical interests in type 1 and type 2 diabetes mellitus, weight management, thyroid and parathyroid disorders, adrenal and pituitary disease, and calcium and sodium related metabolic disorders.

His NHS consultant work has included the joint antenatal diabetes clinic and diabetes renal pathways. He re-established the radioactive-iodine service for benign thyroid disease and is an ARSAC certified consultant.

Dr Nayak holds MB BS, FRCP (Lon) (Edin), MRCP (Endocrinology & Diabetes) and PGCME. He has authored peer reviewed journal articles in clinical endocrine journals and teaches medical students at Keele University and trainees at the Royal College of Physicians.
